The concept is “our muse’s twitter”.
This is a modern MDZS AU set in today's world.
The RP being Twitter-based, IRL and in RP, interactions should (mostly) look like a standard account. To not limit anyone, their living location is not disclosed. Let's simply assume it's somewhere in China.
This is a "joint AU" which means everyone participating officially in this AU shares the same universe. What people do and say might have consequences on everyone, since anyone can see what everyone else is posting on Twitter. If it can be read in an IC GC or TL, every character can read it.
Should someone interact with another RP-er that isn't part of the official universe, this would count as being multiverse (AKA not affecting the official storyline).
Everyone is welcome to join! No matter if they have experience or not. We have a group conversation dedicated to this universe, and we are all happy to help anyone to jump in.
To join in, you must:
Create a RP acc to be used ONLY for modern joint AU. It’s easier for everyone as there is no need to worry about if something is for modern AU or original universe.
Let @smilingyaoyao knows the character you intend to play, your twitter handle for the rp acc and occupation of your character. For ease of keeping track of everything, only messages to @smilingyaoyao will be considered official. For safety reasons, applications should be made from a main acc or a major acc. That information will not be disclosed to anyone if you don't share it yourself.
Remember that you are responsible for your mental health. Do not put yourself in situation that are or can be hard for you.

General:
You can share your own information, but please refrain to share information like name or other accs of other rp-ers without permission.
If you are a minor, please do let us know. We have minors in the group, so it's not an issue. This is to make sure that our GC can be suitable for you, too (and avoid legal issues as they are taken very seriously in Canada)."
Please follow everyone that is part of the modern joint AU.
If an issue arise, it will be discussed with the RP-er in private first. Misunderstandings and mistakes happen, but in the case of repeated problematic behavior, two warnings will be issued in private. The third time, the RP-er will be kicked out. People can decide on their own to interact without them or not.
Please do not block other participants as it would remove them from group chat and to avoid misunderstandings.
If you leave a GC, only a mod can add you back. This rule is to avoid people being brought back against their will.
Should any issue arise, try to talk about calmly with the other party or @smilingyaoyao, @fan_me_69 or @ceojiang5. Decisions about rules and participants are discussed between mods before being taken.
How this AU works:
Your tweets and replies should [mostly]look like a typical twitter user, not like a RP acc. This is not a half/literate style RP universe. However, you can RP in half or literate style in DM with other RP-ers if you wish.
Not everyone is addicted to twitter: it’s true for muns and muses. It’s fine if you don’t log it 10x/day. It’s fine if you live 24/24 on. Try to log in at least every few days. Your RP should reflect that: you can reply to old stuff, but if two days happened IRL, it also happened in RP.
It’s fine if the stories of every muses aren’t perfectly in tune with each other. As a general courtesy, however, it would be appreciated if people could try to make the general idea fits (ex: don’t say Jin are a family of lawyers if your muse is the only lawyer).
If you are a RP-er from the modern joint AU, you are always welcome to DM a mod or to send an anon Curiouscat to share your suggestions, issues or good feedbacks. Communication is very valued, so don't bottle up and let's do our best to keep our little comm as friendly and positive as it is right now.

Commonly triggering topics should be avoided, such as abuse, drug use, and suicide. Discussing about the topic as a general topic is fine, but please avoid to dig too much in those topics in that GC.
Tone down the loving insults. It's not always clear if the insults are loving or mean and it's hard to keep track of everyone dynamics with each other. Teasing is okay, but don't go "ew" or "gross".

Mo Xuanyu and Jin Zixuan are the one being selected as the [Event keys].
For [3 days], any questions they direct to anyone [on timeline] will have both the reply the character want to give [and the honest answer].
However, this weird magical power isn't infinite! After three questions to the same person, it seems to not work anymore on them... but it works just fine on other people?!

FAQ
Can the Event keys ask anything they want?
They can. However, we'd be forever grateful if you could avoid questions that may make the muns uncomfortable upon receiving them (triggering topics, detailed answer about sexual stuff, etc). Remember we have minors in our group.
What if I don't want to reply?
We can't force anyone to reply. You don't have to explain why you don't want to reply either. This is supposed to be a fun event, so if you are uncomfortable replying or don't want to be part of the event, just let the Event Keys know.
Please don't be picky only because you can! You aren't supposed to be one selecting a question, but one day it will be your turn to ask.
What if the Events keys send me a question on CC/DM/not on TL?
You are free to reply or not, but those aren't considered being part of the official event.
I received more than 3 questions, but it's fun and I want to reply more. Can I?"
Yes. You can answer as much questions as you want, but after 3 your official (but optional) participation is done.
